Members are advised that a preliminary English version of the CCAMLR-XXX Report has been posted on the Commission ‘Members Only’ webpage. A pre-publication version of the report in all languages will be available in early December.

A preliminary English version of the Conservation Measures and Resolutions adopted at the Thirtieth Meeting is also available on the website. As advised in COMM CIRC 11/102–SC CIRC 11/49, these will be available on the website in all languages by 17 November 2011.

The attached report summarises fishing activities in 2010/11 as reported in 5-day, 10-day and monthly catch and effort data submitted to the Secretariat to date. These data are circulated in accordance with conservation measures in force.

Catch and effort by reporting period for each fishery are emailed regularly to Contracting Parties participating in these fisheries.

Members are hereby officially notified of the following revisions to the CCAMLR conservation measures which were adopted by the Commission at the Thirtieth Annual Meeting. The date for notification for the purposes of Article IX.6 of the Convention is 9 November 2011.

In accordance with Conservation Measure 24-01, Members are advised that New Zealand has submitted a notification for a research survey to monitor the abundance of pre-recruit Dissostichus mawsoni in the southern Ross Sea (Subarea 88.1 SSRUs J, L and M) in January/February 2012, 2013 and 2014 (attached, see also SC-CAMLR-XXX/7). The research survey is expected to take approximately 40 tonnes (maximum 70 tonnes) of Dissostichus spp. per year.

Members’ attention is drawn to the attached correspondence from the Association of Responsible Krill Harvesting Companies (ARK) seeking an invitation to attend CCAMLRXXX and SC-CAMLR-XXX as an Observer.

The application was received after the deadline for the consideration of invitations to observe this year’s meetings as provided for under Commission Rule 15 and 32 and Scientific Committee Rule 5 and 21.
