Please find attached the Auditor’s Report on the Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2011, as required in accordance with Financial Regulation 11.6. Members should note that there are no changes to the Statements that were distributed under COMM CIRC 12/39 of 30 March 2012. The Executive Secretary signed off the Annual Financial Statements on 2 April 2012.

Technical workshops on MPAs

I write to you on behalf of the co-convenors of the MPA Special Fund Correspondence Group (MPA SF CG), Drs Susie Grant and Polly Penhale, in respect of Scientific Committee’s agreement last year that three technical workshops be held on the development of representative systems of MPAs.
The MPA SF CG has reviewed proposals for two of these workshops, which are to be held in May 2012:
