Singapore has approached the Secretariat for advice on the status of its request (6 January 2012) for the Commission to reconsider its decision to revoke Singapore’s status as a Non-Contracting Party (NCP) cooperating with the Catch Document Scheme (CDS) (see COMM CIRC 12/07).

In addition to COMM CIRC 12/18–SC CIRC 12/09, New Zealand has requested that the attached information be circulated to all Members of the Commission.

The EU has requested that the attached communication be circulated to all Members.

Korea has requested that the attached communication be circulated to all Members.

In accordance with Conservation Measure 10-02, the Secretariat has been advised by Norway that the vessel Thorshøvdi which notified to fish in the krill fishery in Area 48 in 2011/12 has been renamed to the Antarctic Sea.

Members are invited to participate in the 2012 meetings of the Working Group on Statistics, Assessments and Modelling (WG-SAM) from 25 to 29 June and the Working Group on Ecosystem Monitoring and Management (WG-EMM) from 2 to 13 July 2012.

Details regarding the meeting venue and accommodation are attached along with other meeting-related information. Participants are strongly urged to apply for their visa, if required, as soon as possible.

Members are advised that the CCAMLR-XXX Report has been posted on the ‘Publications’ public domain webpage in all four official languages. The hard copy booklet will be issued with the SC-CAMLR-XXX Report in May/June 2012.

I am forwarding the attached communication from Australia, as depository for the Convention for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources, regarding the accession of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Convention.

Members are advised that the Secretariat has prepared preliminary STATLANT data for 2010/11 (refer CCAMLR-XXVI, paragraph 4.89; SC-CAMLR-XXVI, paragraphs 13.5 to 13.11). Members involved with fishing or fishery surveys in the Convention Area in 2010/11 will receive an email by 2 February 2012 containing their preliminary STATLANT data for 2010/11 and an explanatory note.

In accordance with Conservation Measure 21-03, the Secretariat has been advised by the EU and Poland that the vessel Dalmor II has been de-registered and replaced by the Alina GDY-46 in the krill fishery in Area 48.
