It has been brought to the attention of the Secretariat that there was an omission in CCAMLR XXXI, paragraph 5.64 in respect of CCAMLR’s advice to the ATCM regarding the revised management plans for ASPA No. 144 (Discovery Bay, Greenwich Island, South Shetland Islands), ASPA No. 145 (Port Foster, Deception Island) and ASPA No. 146 (South Bay, Doumer Island, Palmer Archipelago).

Monthly Fishery Report No. 2 – Update on Catches Reported to CCAMLR in 2012/13

The attached monthly report summarises fishing activities in the Convention Area in 2012/13, based on catch and effort reports submitted to the Secretariat to date. Detailed fishery reports are emailed regularly to Contracting Parties and their vessels participating in each fishery.

CCAMLR Scheme of International Scientific Observation – Updated logbooks and Cruise Report Format
TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION AND THE SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE
Members are advised that, in accordance with the decisions made at the 2012 Scientific Committee meeting, the scientific observer logbooks and cruise report format have been updated and placed on the CCAMLR website in all languages.
National technical coordinators of the Scientific Observer Program have been asked to ensure that their observers receive the updated logbooks and cruise report format for use during the 2013 season.
CCAMLR Catch Documentation Scheme e-CDS
TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION
The Secretariat is pleased to advise Members that the implementation of changes to the e CDS, in line with revisions made to Conservation Measure 10-05 (2012), has been completed and the up-dates are now available to all CDS Contact Officers.
The Secretariat is currently finalising an updated version of the CDS Manual to reflect the new changes and will make this available to the CDS Contact Officers shortly.

Members are advised that the Secretariat has prepared preliminary STATLANT data for 2011/12 (refer CCAMLR-XXVI, paragraph 4.89). Members involved with fishing or fishery surveys in the Convention Area in 2011/12 will receive an email by 4 February 2013 with an Access database containing their STATLANT data.
