TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION AND THE SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE
In accordance with the Rules of Procedure, Members are invited to attend the Forty-first Meetings of the Commission and the Scientific Committee for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources, which will be held in Hobart, Australia. The Scientific Committee will meet from 24 to 28 October, the Commission from 24 October to 4 November 2022.
The venue for these meetings is the CCAMLR Headquarters, located at 181 Macquarie Street, Hobart, Australia.

Registration
Online registration is now available for CCAMLR-41 and SC-CAMLR-41. To assist with meeting logistics, please complete registration by 7 October 2022.
The meetings will be in person. Proceedings will also be streamed as an audience-only service to registered delegates. Delegates will be requested to indicate during online registration whether they will be present in person in Hobart.
The online registration process includes a request for a passport-style photo, which is required to create your CCAMLR ID card. Intending participants are requested to supply a recent picture, either by uploading it to their web profile on the CCAMLR website, or by sending it via email to ccamlr@ccamlr.org. To upload a photo to your web profile, go to your User profile, select the edit tab and scroll down to the photo field.
Agendas and Schedule
In consultation with the Chair of the Commission, Dr Jakob Granit (Sweden), the preliminary agenda for CCAMLR-41 has been prepared in accordance with Rule 15 of the Commission’s Rules of Procedure. The Commission will adopt the respective agendas for SCIC and SCAF.
In consultation with the Chair of the Scientific Committee, Dr Dirk Welsford (Australia), the preliminary agenda for SC-CAMLR-41 has been prepared in accordance with Rule 5 of the Scientific Committee’s Rules of Procedure.
Comments on these agendas are due by 20 August 2022.
The Chairs of the Commission and the Scientific Committee, in consultation with the Chairs of the Standing Committee for Implementation and Compliance (SCIC) and the Standing Committee on Administration and Finance (SCAF) and the Secretariat, have produced the accompanying preliminary schedules for CCAMLR-41 and SC-CAMLR-41:
The Chairs of the Commission and the Scientific Committee provide the following supplementary information and guidance in relation to the preliminary schedule:
- A meeting for Commission Heads of Delegation will be held at the Commission’s Headquarters on Sunday 23 October at 1600 hours. Commissioners may elect to be accompanied by their Scientific Committee Representative plus one adviser. A meeting of Representatives of the Scientific Committee will be held immediately after the Commission Heads of Delegation meeting concludes.
- The Commission will delegate agenda items on 'Implementation and Compliance' and 'Administration and Finance' of its agenda to SCIC and SCAF respectively. The webpage for the CCAMLR-41 meeting will identify meeting documents to be considered under the agenda items delegated to SCIC and SCAF, and the reports from the meetings of these two committees will be annexed to the Commission's report.
The Chairs invite comments in relation to these proposals. Changes may be proposed to the Chairs at any time prior to the opening of the meetings.
