TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION AND THE SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE

Members are reminded that the daily catch and effort reporting system (Conservation Measure 23-07) references Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and each report covers a 24-hour period from 12 midnight to 12 midnight UTC (i.e. 0000 h to 2400 h UTC).

As in past seasons (refer COMM CIRC 09/134 and SC CIRC 09/70), Members participating in fisheries where Conservation Measure 23-07 applies are also requested to implement the 5-day catch and effort reporting system (Conservation Measure 23-01) with reference to UTC. The 5-day reporting periods in Conservation Measure 23-01 (paragraph 1) should run from:

Period A 0000 h UTC on day 1 to 2400 h UTC on day 5

Period B 0000 h UTC on day 6 to 2400 h UTC on day 10

Period C 0000 h UTC on day 11 to 2400 h UTC on day 15

Period D 0000 h UTC on day 16 to 2400 h UTC on day 20

Period E 0000 h UTC on day 21 to 2400 h UTC on day 25

Period F 0000 h UTC on day 26 to 2400 h UTC on the last day of the month.

In addition, Members are advised that all dates and times connected with exploratory fisheries, including notified fishery closures, will be made with reference to UTC.
