In accordance with Conservation Measure (CM) 51-07, the Secretariat advises that the trawl fishery for Euphausia superba in Subarea 48.1 will close at 2359 h UTC on 18/05/2024.

All vessels should depart the closed fishery as soon as all fishing gear has been removed from the water, as per CM 31-02, paragraph 3.

In the event that a vessel does not depart the closed fishery as soon as all fishing gear has been removed from the water, the Flag State or vessel should inform the Secretariat. On receipt of such information, the Secretariat shall promptly inform Members, as stated by CM 31-02, paragraph 7.

This closure notice has been issued as outlined in COMM CIRC 23/123 and in accordance with CM 23-01, paragraph 7, and CM 31-02.
