Please find attached an invitation from Chile to the extraordinary meeting of the Commission on spatial planning and marine protected areas agreed in CCAMLR-41, paragraph 5.59, in Santiago (Chile) from 24 to 28 April 2023. 

In accordance with Rule 15 of the Rules of Procedure, the draft preliminary agenda and schedule (CCAMLR-41, Annex 6, Appendix B) will be circulated in the week beginning 9 January 2023.

A proposed list of Observers to be invited was included in CCAMLR-41, Annex 6, Appendix C. In accordance with established practice, Members are kindly requested to indicate any amendments to this list by 9 January 2023.
