In COMM CIRC 21/42–SC CIRC 21/40 the Secretariat informed Members that it had created the Planning celebrations for CCAMLR-40 e-group in order to consult with Members regarding this topic, as requested by CCAMLR-38, paragraph 4.7. 

Arising from the e-group discussion the Secretariat was requested to prepare a series of blogs describing the history and success of CCAMLR over the last 40 years using the CCAMLR Brochure as a starting point.

The Secretariat will put drafts of these blogs on the e-group for Members to view starting this Friday 3 September. The Secretariat proposes to release these blogs over the three weeks leading up to the CCAMLR-40 meeting, starting on 22 September, and requests any comments on the drafts to be submitted to the e-group by 15 September.
