Staffing changes

In December 2020, General Office Administrator, Maree Cowen, retired after 10 years of service. Many of you who attended meetings here in Hobart would remember her as the first face you see when entering the building, always ready with welcoming words. Dr Elanor Miller also resigned in December from the role of Data Steward.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Maree and Elanor for their contributions to the Secretariat and CCAMLR and wish them well for their future endeavours.

The following appointments have been made to General Services staff:

• Mrs Kerry Whelan, Administrative Services Officer
• Mr Thomas Williams, Database Administrator/Technical Analyst
• Mr Robert Weidinger, IT Assistant (part-time).

External advisors assisted with the appointments. We welcome Kerry, Thomas and Robert as they take up their new roles.

12th Monaco Blue Initiative meeting

The Executive Secretary has been invited to attend the online meeting of the 12th edition of the Monaco Blue Initiative. The agenda is attached. The Chair of the Commission has agreed that the Executive Secretary should attend.
