TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION AND THE SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE
On 5 December 2012 I invited contributions to the voluntary trust fund established for the purpose of supporting costs associated with these meetings (COMM CIRC 12/161 and SC CIRC 12/66). I advised that Germany has offered, as a voluntary contribution, to take responsibility for providing the venue for both meetings. Additional contributions, amounting to A$125 000, were invited to cover:
- Daily refreshments (provisional estimate: 120 participants)
- Conference technical support
- Interpretation services
- Two evening receptions
- Secretariat support
- Hire of office equipment

As it will be necessary for the Secretariat to enter into contracts with various service providers for the meeting in the next few months it would be appreciated if any contributions being considered could be received in a timely manner.

An update concerning the status of the fund will be provided at the end of February.
